Free Community Class~Labor Day Schedule

Happy Summer Be Yoga and Wellness community!

After some technical delays, I'm finally able to update our update and events page. My apologies for the delay and the last minute email.


Yin Yoga

We are happy to have Beth back for another free community class that will be tomorrow, Sunday August 24th. This class will be a Yin Yoga class from 4-5pm. Yin Yoga is a floor based practice with seated and reclining postures.  Supportive props are used while taking passive poses for 2-5 minutes to encourage muscle release and allow for gentle opening of the connective tissue of the body, notably the fascia which intertwines with the musculature.  This quiet and slower paced practice focuses on stillness and the connection of body, mind and breath, promoting a sense of calm.

 

Yin Yoga is different from Restorative Yoga as it invites you to find an edge of stretching in the pose and then you are invited to use props to support that edge. Register HERE for this free class!


Labor Day Schedule

Monday, September 1, we will be open for classes in the morning. Terri will be teaching her Hatha All Levels from 9-10am and we will add a Gentle/Level 1 right after that at 10:15 led by Amy. The 5:30pm class will be canceled on this day.


Be Yoga and Wellness Teacher Training

We have had a lot of student interest in the teacher training that will begin this January. If you are interested in deepening your practice, maybe to teach, maybe for yourself, please email Becky at info@be-yogaandwellness.com. The YTT (yoga teacher training) will not be on the public class schedule, nor will registration be through the scheduling system. You must email Becky for more information, the registration process, and to discuss the schedule and expectations of the course.
